  • The White House should not have made blanket statements about Fox News Network. I view Fox News the same way the White House does; that is that Fox News will jump on anything they can to discredit the President and other elected officials who are "liberals" (code name for evil enemy).

  • You may be right. I'll see how it goes as I ramp up my job search this fall. I'm a 56-year-old woman with a BS and an MBA, 14 years of full-time work experience, and 21 years of part-time consulting experience (the last while raising two sons). The best approach, I believe, is to use my contacts.

  • I'm 56 now and looking for a full-time medical writing job in the pharmaceutical industry. I plan to keep working as long as I am able. I worked full time from college graduation (1974) through the birth of our first son (1988), and then as a part-time freelancer while raising our two sons.

  • We all fear job loss these days, but it's worse for those whose skills and experience are not easily transferable in the current job market. Retraining is key to preparing for the next job (which hopefully will become available when the economy begins to recover).

  • We cannot be a strong country without a strong economy and opportunity for all. Obama/Biden will make policy that is good for the little guy, not just the fat cats. Regarding income taxes, they propose increases only for those whose income is over $250,000.
